The slow morning
A warm cup before the day begins — to settle the mind, not race it.
Swap your afternoon coffee for a calmer ritual — a creamy vanilla hōjicha latte, naturally low in caffeine. Focused energy, no jitters, no crash.
Hōjicha is a Japanese green tea, toasted over charcoal until the leaves turn amber and honeyed. We grind ours to a fine powder and soften it with Madagascan vanilla — so you whisk it like matcha, pour over the milk of your choice, and skip the brewing entirely.
We toast the leaves over charcoal, then grind them to a fine powder — softened with Madagascan vanilla for a subtle sweetness.
Gentler than coffee. The toasting process lowers caffeine, so the lift is calm — never wired.
No bitterness, no grit. Hōcha is creamy and rounded with the depth of a slow afternoon.
Spoon, whisk in the bowl, pour over your milk of choice. A few unhurried minutes — no steeping, no timers.

Focused calm, in every cup.

Hōcha launches with a first batch of just 300 pouches. Founding members get 15% off their first pouch and a chance to win a year of Hōcha — because you’re helping build this from the very beginning.
I built Hōcha for my own mornings — a calmer ritual that still helped me focus. Every pouch is the version I wished I could buy.

It’s a powder — like matcha. No brewing, no steeping. Spoon, whisk, pour over milk. Hot or iced.
One teaspoon of Hōcha into a cup or bowl.
Add a splash of hot water and whisk until smooth.
Top with hot milk, or pour over ice. Done.
Both wake you up. Only one lets you stay yourself.
Calm, focused energy — whenever you need to come back to yourself.

A warm cup before the day begins — to settle the mind, not race it.

When the afternoon dips, this is the gentler way back to clarity.

Whisked into oat milk over ice. Honeyed, amber, quietly addictive.

Naturally low caffeine — soft enough to drink after dinner.
The same pouch, two preparations. Both calm, both grounded — chosen by the weather, the hour, or the mood.

Whisked matcha-style in a ceramic bowl, then poured over hot milk. Soft, sweet, slightly toasty — the way Kyoto cafés serve it.

Whisked, then poured over ice and cold milk. Long, amber, refreshing — the easiest way to fall in love with hōjicha.
Hōcha starts as a pouch and becomes a keepsake. One tin, topped up for life — kinder on the planet, calmer on the counter.

From the founder
I started making Hōcha for myself: weighing the powder, whisking it in the bowl, pouring it slowly over warm milk. Those few minutes are the whole point — a pause in the day rather than another thing to rush. Hōjicha, toasted and honeyed, was simply the tea I loved most.
